Baba, Isabel Barrio and Guðmundur Halldórsson report on how reduced water availability and insecticide application  affect the density of cabbage root fly larvae on cauliflower roots in Iceland.

Aug 2, 2018. Today we published the forth article in volume 31 (2018) in IAS on-line. In this article, Karl Skírnisson et al. summarize which parasite species have been found in imported dogs and cats in Iceland since 1989, when their import was first allowed following a quarantine period. During these 28 years (1989-2017) a total of 4722 dogs and cats originating from all continents of the world (except Antarctica) have been imported into Iceland.

Apr 11, 2018. Today we published the third article in volume 31 (2018) in IAS on-line. It is a review article, where Valgerður Andrésdóttir gives an overview about research done on the Maedi-visna virus (MVV) in Iceland and how it shares many features with the human HIV virus; i.e. on the MVV molecular biology, cell tropism and pathogenesis and some of the similarities as well as the dissimilarities between MVV and HIV are discussed.

Mar 13, 2018. Today we published the two first articles in volume 31 (2018) in IAS on-line. Dennis Riege and Adalsteinn Sigurgeirsson reported on a provenance variability in establishment of native downy birch (Betula pubescens) in a 14-year trial in southwest Iceland and Marja Maljanen et al. reported on the effects of geothermal soil warming on the production of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), nitric oxide (NO) and nitrous acid (HONO) from forest soils in southern Iceland.

Dec 16, 2017. Today we published the eigth and last article in volume 30 in IAS on-line. Hrannar Smári Hilmarsson et al. reported on the effects of soil type on barley yields in Icelandic cultivar trials at the Korpa Experimental Station.

Dec 10, 2017. Today we published the seventh article in volume 30 in IAS on-line. Bryndís Marteinsdóttir et al. assessed the ecological impacts of extensive sheep grazing in Iceland by doing a meta-analysis of published data.

Sept 28, 2017. Today we published the sixth article in volume 30 in IAS on-line. Jonathan Willow et al. report on a case study on how pollinator communities differ between the exotic Nootka lupine and the native flowering plants in a
heath habitat in south-west Iceland.

Sept 27, 2017. IAS has got a new ISI Impact Factor for 2017-2018. It has almost tripled since last year and is now 0.800. The 5-year impact factor of IAS is similar, or 0.757. This puts IAS in the 26 place of 56 comparable journals listed within the ISI database.
